  • Wear a rash guard like a t-shirt to avoid getting burnt and use sunscreen. Take a test run using your equipments and splurge on a good quality regulator, BCD, computer, mask, fins etc only then decide to scuba dive for longer distances.
  • Watch your gauges to keep track of pressure, depth and nitrogen.
  • Before going to the sea read about the diversity of sea life and try to identify the diverse sea plants, fishes and other creatures.
  • While scuba diving do not kick or knock over any corals. Do not touch anything and any creature of sea as this may frighten them.
  • If you are new to scuba diving do not snorkel alone. This makes you vulnerable to currents, sharp reefs, and wildlife of Open Ocean.
  • Stay alert. Before venturing out for longer trips get acquitted with your surrounding and observe the behaviour of sea and wildlife as their maybe danger due to some wild beast or natural events like Tsunami. Remember animals can sense danger better than humans. Knowing your surrounding is very important, you may encounter a sharp rock.
  • Make sure your oxygen cylinder is buoyant and relax. If you are unable to go downwards then make sure you align yourself in that direction and focus yourself towards it.
  • Listen to the instructions of the scuba diving guide with utter concentration and follow them.
