Denver:The Mile High City

Denver, Colorado is a vibrant and hosted by some of the best mountain scenery you will ever see. Discover historic LoDo, visit the Denver Art Museum, or catch a baseball game at Coors Field. The beauty of the natural world of the Rocky Mountains comes alive in hiking trails, biking paths, and ski resorts. Be sure to try the great flavors of Colorado cuisine, including craft beers, burgers, and Rocky Mountain oysters.

About Denver

Denver is the most populous city in Colorado with over 700,000 people. The city is really a world class metropolitan place that plays many cultural and economic roles for the whole Rocky Mountains region. Denver is becoming a hub for craft breweries, art districts, and vibrant music venues that it accommodates visitors throughout the year. Being exposed to more than 300 sunshine days every year, outdoor activities abound, from hiking to nearby Rockies to playing in its many parks and recreational facilities.

Historical End

The city of Denver was initially set up as a mining town in 1858 due to the Pikes Peak Gold Rush. Because it was located on the South Platte River, the city became a commercial center fairly quickly. In 1861, it was made the territorial capital. In fact, the late nineteenth century brought the railroad to the region, which further deepened Denver’s growth into today’s diversified economy that involves technology, healthcare, and tourism.

Geographical Landscape

The city is situated at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. Therefore, it has beautiful views and diversified terrains. The city offers natural aesthetic attractions to the east with the plains, whereas the west is majestically covered with mountains. Thus, adventure activities form the prominent part of this geographical feature. The semi-arid climate of the city determines four primary seasons with warm summers and snowy winters, which is excellent for skiers and snowboarders.

Best Time to Visit

The best times to visit Denver are in the spring and fall, which include the months of March to May and September to November. In the spring, one can associate soft temperatures along with blooming flowers when one can see Denver’s parks and other attractions. Fall is marked with great foliage and warm temperatures, along with all festivals and events. For those who love warmer temperatures, summers are warm, while for others who like snow and enjoy the ride up the nearby ski slopes, winters are best.
