Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi: The Heart of the UAE

Abu Dhabi is the capital of the United Arab Emirates, a town that looks bright red with modern architecture, rich cultural heritage, and pleasing landscapes. Being one of the wealthiest cities in the world, Abu Dhabi represents something different, which really fascinates the tourists. From a wonderful shopping experience to peaceful beaches, Abu Dhabi has it all.

History

Abu Dhabi was established in the 18th century as a small fishing village. With the discovery of oil in the 1950s, Abu Dhabi became an economic hub, leading to rapid growth and modernization. With Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the first president of the country, Abu Dhabi became one with culture, arts, and education, while still maintaining its deep heritage along the way.

Geographic Landscape

Abu Dhabi city stands on a T-shaped island along the central western coast of the UAE. The city boasts a scenic shore, which sweeps along the Arabian Gulf and then mixes with beautiful beaches and islands. The cityscape of Abu Dhabi depicts a relationship between modern high-rise structures and traditional architecture, with great expansive parks and gardens – secluded oases from an urban arena.

Best Time to Visit

November to March is perhaps the best time for visiting Abu Dhabi as during this period, the climate becomes cooler and much more welcoming. This makes it perfect for outdoor activities, cultural events, and many festivals, which can be enjoyed in Abu Dhabi.
