Jogini Waterfall Trek Near Manali in 2025

Manali, Himachal Pradesh – It is 2025, and with more travellers opting for nature-related escapes, Jogini Waterfall Trek near Manali has emerged as a hot favourite among nature lovers and solo trekkers. This lesser-known but soul-nourishing trek, renowned for its mystical ambiance, sweeping views, and spiritual aspects, is attracting everyone from novices to experts.

Whether it’s your first Himalayan trek or a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city, Jogini Waterfall Trek provides a liberating experience throughout the year—if well planned and scheduled.

What Makes Jogini Waterfall Trek Special?

Located in the peaceful village of Vashisht, 4 km from Manali, Jogini Waterfall Trek takes one to one of the state’s most beautiful waterfalls in Himachal Pradesh. Draping the ground with a fall of roughly 150 feet from their elevation, Jogini Waterfall is an isolated sacred site; it is locally revered, and there is a tiny shrine for the local goddess at its base-the Goddess Jogini.

One of the simplest treks around the area, it takes only 2 hours to 3 hours. So, bring along your family, solo trip, or friend self and complete the trek in no time. Also, on the way, one gets to witness lush green forests, apple orchards, Himachali traditional houses, and breathtaking views of the snow-capped peaks.

Best Time to Do the Jogini Waterfall Trek in 2025

The beauty of Jogini Waterfall Trek keeps changing with the seasons, but there are months where the weather, trail, and vista beauty find the perfect combination.

1.March to June – Spring & Early Summer

This is the ideal time to take the Jogini Waterfall Trek. The temperature is between 10°C and 25°C, and the weather conditions are ideal for a trek. Nature is at its best with flowers in bloom and flowing streams along the trail.

2.September to November – Post Monsoon Freshness

After monsoon rains, the terrain is lush green. This is the second favorite time to undertake the Jogini Waterfall Trek, with nice weather and blue clear skies. The waterfall is full and lovely at this time.

Avoid: July to August

Monsoons are not recommended because tracks are slippery and land-slips occur. Safety concerns arise in case of heavy rain, so it is best to avoid the time period.

Winter Note: December to February

If you are adventurous enough to go in the cold, then winter treks offer the glaciers and frozen streams. Though without the right gear and local know-how.

Road Route to the Starting Point

One starts from Vashisht village, which is only 3 km from Manali.
•By Road: You can take a cab or a rickshaw from Manali to Vashisht.
•On Foot: The majority of tourists walk from Manali to Vashisht on foot to get acclimatized to the locals before beginning the trek.
•Nearest Airport: Bhuntar Airport (Kullu-Manali), 50 km.
•Nearest Bus Stand: Manali Bus Depot.

Safety and Trekking Guidelines for Jogini Waterfall Trek 2025

Given the increasing popularity of Jogini Waterfall Trek in 2025, green and safe practices must be adhered to.

1.Use Proper Trekking Shoes

Even though the walk is a short one, the route is slippery and uneven. Right waterproof trekking shoes with traction are a must.

2.Start Early

Morning jogs in early morning provide fresher temperatures, lesser traffic, and improved photo light.

3.Bring Your Own Water

Carry a refillable water bottle. There are little cafes along the way, but it is better to carry your own water.

4.Be Respectful of Locals

Jogini is a sacred site. Dress conservatively and do not have loud music or play boisterously.

5.Do Not Travel Alone at Night

While the trail is safe to hike during the day, it is recommended not to descend after nightfall, especially for newbies who are unfamiliar with the terrain.

6.Travel Insurance

You would need to take basic travel and health insurance if you are trekking in 2025 on a larger Himachal tour.

Its accessibility, spiritual environment, and motivational solitude make it the preferred destination among solo women travellers, families, and nature lovers alike.
