Snow lover’s Paradise

The best time to visit DayaraBugyal is in winter, when whole of the land is covered in mounds of snow and makes for the perfect setting for adventure sports such as skiing. To be precise the best time to enjoy in this small town are the pre and post monsoon months. The rainy season is very harsh in the hilly areas with constant possibility of landslides and bad weather. Plus you won’t be able to go out anywhere when its raining so its better to avoid that time of the year.

From May to July, August to October and then December to February (when the real magic unfolds) are the best months to visit DayaraBugyal.

Trekker’s first love

The DayaraBugyal trek is the best suitable for beginner’s with an added advantage of the beautiful picturesque that it offers. This 6-day trek will take you to a maximum height of 12,100ft. This cross over trek starts from Raithal and ends in Barsu. The Dehradun Railway Station is the nearest railway station to the base camp.

The shepherds take their livestock herds in summer up to this trek because in winter it gets drenched in snow. The Bandarpoonch Peak, the Gangotri set of peaks, the Srikanth peak and the Black peak is visible from the DayaraBugyal trek. The DoditalLake, which is a fresh water lake, is the origin of AssiRiver. The meadows get loaded with a yellow color flower during the summergiving the whole land an optical illusion.
