Jim Corbett National Park offers a variety of safaris and adventure activities designed to make your trip truly memorable.

Elephant Safari –

Yeah!! You get to ride on the back of these mighty yet cute and gentle elephants. Isn’t that exciting? Elephant safari gives the closest encounter to the wild beasts of the Jungle in their natural habitat which is nearly impossible to access with jeeps or open canters. The park is really concerned about the safety of the adventurers and thus it is conducted under the guidance of well-trained and expert mahouts.

You can enjoy this fun and frolic activity at the minimum cost of 500 INR for Indians and 1500 INR for foreigners. No prior booking is required and the safaris are conducted on a first come first serve basis. There are 2 slots for Elephant safari in Jim Corbett National Park i.e. 06:00 – 08:00 in the morning and 03:00 – 05:00 in the evening.

Canter safari –

The forest officials of Jim Corbett national park offer yet another way to escape into the wilderness of the park. Canter safari is the only option to delve deep into the wilderness of Dhikala forest. The frolic activity can be enjoyed by visitors of almost all age groups; however, minors must be accompanied with an adult during the safaris. The charges applicable per person for canter safari is 1500 INR for Indians while 3000 INR for foreigners. The 16-18 seat canters can be enjoyed from 6:00 AM – 11:30 AM in the morning and from 12:00 PM – 5:30 PM in the Evening. It is advised that you make your booking in advance to avoid any chances of missing this exciting activity.

Jeep Safari –

Yet another way to relish the wilderness of Jim Corbett national park is by Jeep. This actually is the most popular safari among tourists. The smaller size of Jeep gives it the advantage of exploring the core areas that are inaccessible by the canters.The Jeep has a capacity of 6 people.

The Jeep safari starts at 6:30 AM – 10:00 AM in the morning and 1:30 PM – 5:30 PM in the evening. The zones covered by Jeep safari are Bijrani, Sitabani, Jhirna and Durgadev (at an additional charge of about 400 INR). The charge of jeep safari for Indian is INR 3600 / Jeep and for Foreigner, it is INR 7000 / Jeep.

Other than these exciting activities, the tourists can enjoy the tranquil ambience of the Jim Corbett National park and adventure activities like angling and river rafting.
