Why Zip Line in El Castillo?

El Castillo’s dense jungles and river scenery make it a unique zip lining spot. Here’s why it’s so cool:

  • Epic Views: See the San Juan River, rainforest canopies, and maybe the fortress from 20–80 meters up.
  • Big Rush: Zoom on cables up to 500m long, feeling like a jungle adventurer!
  • Very Safe: Local guides use certified gear, though standards may be less strict than in some countries. Check equipment yourself.
  • Fun Photos: Get pics or videos (₹1500/$20) to share your adventure!

Great for beginners, but not for kids under 8, pregnant women, or people with heart or back issues. Max weight is usually 120 kg (265 lbs).

What’s Zip Lining in El Castillo Like?

You glide on steel cables in a harness, guided by local pros. Tours start near Canopy de la Cruz, about 2 km from El Castillo village, with 5–7 cables. Tours run year-round, best from December to April (25–30°C, dry season). A 1.5–2 hour tour costs ₹2000–₹3000 ($25–$40), including gear and sometimes transport from town. Add-ons like hiking cost ₹500 ($7). You must be 8+, weigh 30–120 kg, and sign a waiver. Tours go in light rain but stop in storms.

What to Bring

Pack these for a great ride:

  • Clothes: Wear comfy shorts/pants, a t-shirt, and closed-toe shoes (no flip-flops). A light rain jacket for wet season. Tie back long hair.
  • Health Stuff: Tell guides about health issues; don’t zip if unwell. Helmets and harnesses provided.
  • Extras: Bring water, sunscreen, and bug spray. No loose items; buy photos (₹1500). Small bags okay; no lockers mentioned.
  • Booking: Pay ₹2000–₹3000. Book via local agencies in El Castillo or email canopydelacruz@gmail.com. Call +505 8928 7719 (WhatsApp). No refunds for no-shows! Spectators watch free.

Check local guides or hotel staff for weather updates.

  • Enjoy: Look for howler monkeys or river views. Scream for fun!
  • Land Safe: Keep legs up; guides catch you. Check harness each time.
